Viral Storyboard: Henry the nudist

Another quick Jovoto contest entry for the internet chat community smeet.com. The briefing asked for a viral campaign to promote the community online. My idea was to invent a real life person, called Henry. Henry is a nudist, from New Zealand and likes to walk around naked in the public.

Introduction: I found this wonderful celebration day, called “World Nude Day” – it’s been celebrated since years in different countries all over the planet…in the Netherlands they organize nude bicycle tours, in New Zealand they play nude rugby and in England there are nude Flash-Mobs! Check their website.

Idea: Celebrating the “World Nude Day” virtually on smeet! and on the Social Media Networks.

Communication: We create a real-life character, his name is “Henry”, and we make a Viral Documentary Film about him. Henry lives in New Zealand, he is very kind, nice, friendly and all that…he got a beard and long, brown curly hair…there is just this one thing.

Henry talks about his life (while sitting in a yakuzi), how he walks around on the streets, how the people run away from him, how he sits in the park watching the trees and birds playing around, maybe we will be able to show him while he is shopping in the supermarket, buying milk…talking to his neighbours…he is enjoying his life!

But deep in his heart there is something…every year on the 6th of February (World Nude Day) he gets thoughtful (Henry is sitting now in a cafe, alone, surrounded by people chatting and having a good time, eating a sandwich and starring deep and sadly into a decorative plant). Henry is very alone with his nudity. There is nobody who wants to share his passion – a teardrop is falling down on his sandwich and he begins to cry.

CUT

OFF VOICE: “Don’t worry Henry. We’re celebrating with you! World nude day on 6th of February on SMEET! – Your virtual Hangout” Last Scene: You see Henry standing happy and naked with a “smeet-censored” sign over his thingy.

Implementation: On this special day, World Nude Day, the 6th of February there will be a special clothing item on smeet: Nudity! For people below 18 there will be a censored sign, of course. Be free to invite your friends on Facebook and Twitter to participate in the World Nude Day!
